Entry From Irene Klingemann

Hi Craig and Shelly
First of all my thoughts and prayers are with you as you go thru these trying times. I can only imagine what is going thru your mind as you prepare for Monday's hospital stay. If it helps.... this is what my husband went thru.... Pain can be very debilitating and very trying, leaving a person with no energy left to do anything else. That was one of the biggest problems that Hermann had. The pain patches and the break-thru pain meds didn't help. He had a temporary epidural in place for a time, but that could only last while he was in the hospital. So he finally had an implanted pain pump – the actual terminology is “Intrathecal Drug Delivery”.  That eased the pain level a lot. Don't know if this is what the doctors have in mind for Craig, but it worked wonders for Hermann. Sometimes it's just knowing that someone else went thru the same things helps you feel that you are not alone.

Keep fighting and hoping and believing.
HUGS!!!
